The 10^th annual STARS Fell On Alabama Logo Contest Rules

Do you or someone you know have talent in design? Then this is your kind of contest. The STARS FELL ON ALABAMA Board of Directors is looking for a logo to feature on our lanyard tags & tees for the 10^th annual event to be held Mar 5^th – 8^th, 2009

The contest entry rules are as follows:

1. All entries must include our copy-written logo (parrot on the star), the names of all 4 sponsoring Clubs (Coastal Alabama PHC, Towns Around Biloxi PHC, Isle O’Bama PHC, and Lower Alabama Parrotheads), the event name (10th Annual Stars Fell On Alabama), the event theme (Did it really happen? Was I really there?), and the dates & location of the convention (March 5-8, 2009, Orange Beach, AL).  These items along with any other items may be done using any fonts or colors you choose. BRIGHT COLORS ARE HIGHLY ENCOURAGED!

2. Entries will be accepted in most standard graphical formats or a full-color, high quality drawing which can be adequately scanned if that drawing is indeed the lucky winner.   Maximum size is 8" wide X 10" tall for the scan so please keep it in that size frame.

3. Please keep in mind that the logo should be a vertical design which would fit on a tee shirt and on a badge.

If you or your club members are interested in participating, please submit your multi-color design 8" wide X 10" tall on a sheet of paper and/or standard graphics file by October 31st, 2008.  Initial submissions in graphics format should be submitted in 200 dpi format within an 8” x 10” frame.  The winning entry, if in graphics format, will be requested later in a 400 dpi 9” x 13” format.

The winner will receive two (2) free registrations to the phlocking (worth $100.00) and a 2 night stay (Fri-Sat only) at the host hotel (worth $240) during the phlocking. MUST BE 21 TO ENTER.

No substitutions of prizes or cash money for winning. Contestants do not have to be a member of a PHIP sanctioned PHC to be eligible for the logo contest.

No entries will be returned.  The winning entry becomes the sole property of STARS FELL ON ALABAMA for any use it sees fit.  While every attempt will be made to use the submitted logo in its original design, some alterations may be necessary and the STARS Board of Directors reserves the right to include those changes. LIMIT 3 ENTRIES PER ARTIST!
